Abstract
Basis of selection of optimum options of realization of processes of cutting is calculation of costs of actually cutting. First of all these expenses include costs of the cutting tool and the electric power. Practically in all existing techniques of technological design the choice of brand of tool material is reduced to separate single procedure of its appointment before calculation of quantitative parameters according to technological recommendations, i.e. possibility of an alternative choice with the subsequent comparison of their efficiency by quantitative indices isn't used.
