Abstract
In the automotive industry nowadays quite a lot of attention is paid to safety , but mostly it concerns the safety of the driver and passengers. Recently, many car manufacturers started to think about the safety of people who are outside the vehicle . It can be both pedestrians and cyclists . These developments have in mind to ensure the safety of pedestrians in a traffic accident , but it is impossible to ensure complete safety , and reduce the level of these funds with the consequences of a traffic accident . This article presents an overview of major developments related to this topic, their relevance and future development.
