Abstract
At present unsatisfactory technical state of the park shunting locomotives is an major factor in their low operational efficiency. An alternative to a shunting locomotive are the tractors on the combined course, made on the basis of tractors. The article analyzes the nonconforming products manufactured by Russian and foreign manufacturers, investigated their advantages and disadvantages, and conclusion about the prospects for the spread of technology implementation of shunting operations similar vehicles.
