Abstract
The paper analyzes the current state of industrial safety in the Russian Federation, revealed problems unambiguous interpretation of certain provisions of the Federal Law of July 21, 1997 №116-FZ "On industrial safety of hazardous production facilities", indicated by the practical implications for industrial safety. A special aspect of the work is made of the fact that the requirements of the Act to the industrial safety of hazardous production facilities should take into account the conditions of their operation in the Arctic zone of Russia. The perspectives of improving the legal framework regulating the solution of various issues of industrial safety.
