Abstract
Modern devices of relay protection and automation, telemetry, metering and communications-based microelectronic and microprocessor elements have rich functionality and a number of other advantages over Electromechanical devices. However, in contrast, modern devices have one significant drawback, namely high sensitivity to electromagnetic interference. Electric power stations and substations are powerful sources of electromagnetic fields and noise, so for the normal functioning of modern devices is important to ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) with harsh electromagnetic environment at power plants.
